Police were assisting a broken down vehicle on the A1 southbound near to Wallyford in East Lothian when a dark coloured car, believed to be a Nissan Note, collided with police cones and almost hit a police car and an officer on 18 December at about 11pm.

The cones had been put in place to close one of the road's lanes while the breakdown assistance was taking place.
