Hunter Square cordoned off by police following 'concern for person'

Police cordoned off area at Hunter Square following an incident in the early hours.

Several police vans were spotted at the scene. A cordon was set up at the steps of Tron Kirk, to the back of Hunter Square.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10pm on Friday, February 26, officers responded to reports of a concern for person in Hunter Square.

“Emergency services attended and a 35-year-old man was taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where he remains in a stable condition.”
