John Leslie sexual assault investigation dropped

POLICE have dropped an investigation into sexual assault allegations made against former television presenter John Leslie.

The ex-Blue Peter host, 50, was questioned in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a 22-year-old woman following the Radio Forth Awards Show in Edinburgh last year.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police in Edinburgh have concluded their enquiries into a report of sexual assault between the evening of Thursday 19 November and the morning of Friday 20 November 2015.

“No further police action will be taken at this time. If new information is received in connection with this report it will be assessed and investigated appropriately.”
