Lothian police seize uninsured car with 'completely unacceptable' tyres

An uninsured car was spotted by police with tyres so worn down the inside wires were showing through.

West Lothian police stopped the driver of the grey Vauxhall in Whitburn on Monday.

They found the vehicle had not been taxed either.

The car was seized and the driver has been reported.

"The vehicle was uninsured, had no vehicle excise licence & both front tyres were devoid of tread.

"Completly unacceptable.

"The vehicle has been seized and the driver has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal."
