M90 crash: motorway closed following three vehicle collision near Queensferry Crossing

Part of the M90 which had to close earlier due to a collision involving three cars has now reopened.

The southbound lane at J1 on the M90 near Queensferry Crossing was shut following a crash which happened on Saturday morning at about 9am.

The injuries of the drivers involved have not yet been reported.

Traffic watchdog Traffic Scotland made the announcement on Twitter advising motorists in the area to use an alternative route.

The lane has now reopened but there are still some travel disruptions in the area including slow traffic.

Traffic Scotland tweeted: “M90 has reopened following an RTC S/B J1 (Scotstoun). Congestion is easing and traffic slow on approach.”

A police spokeswoman said officers received a call at about 9am for a crash involving three cars and confirmed the condition of the drivers involved is not known.
