Man, 23, charged over theft of six Ford Transit vans in West Lothian in under three months

A 23-year-old man has been charged in connection with the theft of six Ford Transit vans in West Lothian in less than three months.

Police have been carrying out inquiries into the thefts, which took place between January 7th and March 24th, as well as a number of associated vehicle crimes.

The man is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday, April 24th.

Detective Constable Robert Gilmour said: "We know the impact that crimes such as these have on the livelihoods of individuals, their families and businesses.

"Extensive enquiries have been carried out by a dedicated team of officers to investigate these incidents.

"I would urge anyone who has any concerns about vehicle crime or suspicious activity in West Lothian to call 101 as soon as possible to allow us to investigate."
