Man, 28, attacked while getting into his car in busy West Lothian car park

Police in West Lothian are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked as he got into his car in a busy car park.

The serious assault happened outside Whitburn Community Centre in Manse Road at about 8pm on Thursday, February 6th.

Police said a 28-year-old man was assaulted when getting into his car.

He was taken to St John’s Hospital where he was treated for serious but not life threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as white, 5ft 7ins tall, around 25-years-old and of heavy build with blonde hair and a pale complexion. He was wearing shorts, a top and glasses.

Detective Constable Lynn Myles, of Livingston CID, said: “This attack happened in a busy car park where there would have been a number of witnesses.

“A 28-year-old man has sustained serious injuries and we are appealing to members of the public who may have any information relating to this incident.

“If you were in the area at the time of this assault or have information relating to a man of this description, please contact police.

“I would also urge any drivers with dash-cam footage to come forward.”
