Man, 33, taken to hospital with 'serious injuries' following assault in Edinburgh's Fountainbridge

Police Scotland have confirmed that a 33-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following an assault which happened in Edinburgh’s Fountainbridge area on Friday night.

Officers were called to Dundee Street at around 9.20pm on Friday, March 26 following reports that a man had been assaulted.

The 33 -ear-old was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with “serious injuries”, according to the police.

His current condition is not yet known.

Police have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing.
