Man, 37, charged after gun found in West Lothian home

A 37-year-old man has been charged after a gun was found in a house in West Lothian.

Drugs and stolen property were also recovered from the property in Mosside Drive, Blackburn on Friday July 24 as part of inquiries into a housebreaking which happened in the town.

Police confirmed a 37-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident and he is due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court today.

Detective Inspector Nick Brookfield, based at Livingston CID, said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish any further potential criminality.

"This police activity was carried out as part of Operation Rampion which targets acquisitive crime in the local area such as theft, fraud and robbery.
