Man, 38, hospitalised with 'serious injury' from London Road attack outside pub
A 38-year-old man needed hospital treatment after being seriously injured during an attack outside a pub in Edinburgh last night.
The assault is thought to have happened near the Artisan Bar in London Road at about 7pm.
A police spokesperson said: "A 38-year-old suffered serious injury and was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment and released a short time later.
"Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
Locals reported on social media seeing police in the area and the pub cordoned off last night, with some suggesting a knife may have been involved.
The Evening News spoke with a staff member at the pub earlier today but they were unable to provide any more details about the incident.
