Man, 39, in hospital after stabbing in the north-west of Edinburgh

A 39-year-old man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Edinburgh this morning.

The serious assault happened in Parkgrove Green, in the north-west of the city, at around 10am on Tuesday.

The man sustained stab wounds during the attack.

Live Edinburgh News reported that a police dog was seen searching a nearby wooded area and that officers were spotted by Drumbrae Leisure Centre.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10am on Tuesday, 19 May, officers in Edinburgh were called to reports of a serious assault in the Parkgrove Green area of the city.

“A 39-year-old man suffered serious injury and has been taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

“Enquires into the circumstances are ongoing.”
