Man, 47, due in court after dog walker 'struck in head with glass bottle' in Tollcross attack

A 47-year-old man has been charged in connection with an attack which left a dog walker with serious facial injuries.

The 58-year-old victim was allegedly hit in the head with a glass bottle in Panmure Place, Tollcross, shortly before midnight on Friday. He was then taken to hospital and treated for facial injuries.

Police said a 47-year-old man has been charged and is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, February 24th.

A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
