Man, 59, charged over theft of eight Border Collie puppies from East Lothian farm
A 59-year-old man has been charged in connection with the theft of eight puppies from a farm in East Lothian.

The litter of six-week-old Border Collie puppies was taken at some point between Friday night and Saturday morning.
Due to their young age the dogs were yet to be chipped, making it harder to trace them.

Hide AdBut police carried out inquiries and succesfully found the puppies and returned them to their owner.


A statement released on social media today by police in East Lothian, said: “We can confirm that following enquiry into the theft of eight Collie puppies from Gifford, East Lothian, and there subsequent safe return, the officers that found them have now traced and charged a 59-year-old man for the theft and a report is being sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
