Man attacked in Livingston street

A MAN has been left with serious injuries after being attacked in the street in the early hours of the morning.

The 32-year-old victim was assaulted outside an address in Woodside Place, in the Bridgend area of Livingston, last Saturday at 1am.

He was taken to St John’s Hospital for treatment and police said they were following a positive line of inquiry.

Detective Constable Ross Hamill of Livingston CID said: “We’re still conducting inquiries in order to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and are eager to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

“Anyone who may have seen suspicious behaviour in the area around this time is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
