Man charged after police assault during disturbance at Edinburgh flat

A 34-year-old man is due in court tomorrow following a disturbance in the city’s Wester Hailes neighbourhood.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed officers had been called to a flat in Dumbryden Gardens at around 9.50pm.

She said: “A 34 year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the disturbance and police assault, and he will be appearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, August 10.

A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
