Man convicted of indecent assault after uploading homemade sex tape

A man was jailed for five years today after he was convicted of indecent assault after graphic excerpts of homemade sex tapes he put on the internet were shown to a court.

William Jenkinson (31) told the victim he subjected to the sex ordeal: “I won’t be long.”.

Jenkinson filmed sex sessions with women and uploaded footage to a pornographic website, but among it was material used in the court proceedings against him.

Advocate depute Shanti Maguire earlier told jurors at the High Court in Edinburgh: “I appreciate the subject matter has been graphic and harrowing for you to listen to and watch.”

One woman told the court that she could hear her voice saying: “Dinnae, dinnae, don’t put it in.”

During a second piece of footage she had described that Jenkinson was carrying out a sex act on her without her consent. Jenkinson held the woman’s face and pulled her hair.

Ms Maguire said: “She is clear it is penetration that she had said ‘no’ to and there was really nothing she could do. He was on top of her. You have seen their respective builds.”

Jenkinson, of Tribune Place, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, had claimed two women were content to be filmed and to have the footage uploaded to a website, including the victim of his indecent assaults. Among the material filmed was footage entitled “Is this big enough for you.”

But the court heard they were “upset and horrified” because he had told them the footage had been deleted.

When one woman learnt that not only had he kept the film but had put it on the web she had said she was going to speak to the police.

Jenkinson had told her the police would sit and watch and would “just laugh”, the court heard.

Jenkinson had denied a string of sex charges and was acquitted of raping and indecently assaulting one woman who he also filmed and of nipping, biting and sexually assaulting a second woman at addresses in West Lothian .

But he was found guilty of indecently assaulting a third woman between 2005 and 2010 at a house in Bathgate, in West Lothian.

She accused Jenkinson of being “controlling” and said she had ultimately told the truth to police that there had been non-consensual episodes of sex.

She had initially told officers that there were no issues over sex with Jenkinson but said that was because she was scared.

She told the court: “There was a point where I was really sore and I asked him to stop.”

Jenkinson had originally faced a further charge of publishing obscene materiel depicting scenes of an abusive sexual nature, including indecent assault and rape from 2008 to 2015, but the jury did not have to consider the charge.

He was previously placed on the sex offenders’ register.
