Man found dead near Edinburgh's Granton Crescent Park as police tape off area

A man has been found dead near an Edinburgh park.

Police have sealed off Granton Crescent Park after the discovery at around 10:20am on Tuesday morning.

Officers are carrying out an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death, which they do not believe to be suspicious.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.20am on Tuesday, 22 September, 2020, the body of a man was found near Granton Crescent, Edinburgh.

"Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the death are ongoing but it is not believed to be suspicious. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."

At least one ambulance was seen as emergency services attended the incident but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
