Man held after Lawnmarket incident
A man was detained after a disturbance in the city centre.
The Lawnmarket was cordoned off as police arrived on Sunday afternoon.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “We can confirm that a disturbance reported at an address in the Lawnmarket earlier today came to a peaceful conclusion at around 4pm. A man has since been detained in relation to this matter.”
Police dismissed reports on social media that the man had a device strapped to him as untrue.
