Man steals till from Edinburgh hair salon during burglary

A staff member said the thief ran off with the till in broad daylight.

A manhunt has been launched after a thief stole a till from a hair salon in Edinburgh.

The incident happened at Studio E in Lochrin Buildings at about midday on Thursday, August 13.

The salon owner said the brazen culprit stole a till from the premise and ran off with it in broad daylight.

Officers have launched an investigation into the burglary and enquiries are ongoing.

A police spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a theft from a premises at Lochrin Buildings around 12.35pm on Wednesday, 13 August, 2020. Enquiries are ongoing."
