A missing Penicuik man has been traced, police have confirmed.

Ewan Thomson, 40, had last been seen on Friday evening around 11pm on Newmills Road in Dalkeith.

An appeal was launched by police in a bid to trace Ewan.

On Saturday evening, Police Scotland confirmed Ewan Thomson had been found.

A spokesperson thanked the public for their assistance in sharing the appeal.
