Motorist with no insurance has vehicle seized after being stopped yards for police station

Police in Edinburgh seized a vehicle after its driver was found to have no insurance – just yards from St Leonard’s Police Station.

The motorist, who was stopped on St Leonard's Street on Wednesday, was cautioned and charged.

Road Policing Scotland posted on Twitter: ‘#EdinburghRP stopped this vehicle on St Leonard's Street earlier today. The driver didn't have insurance to drive the vehicle. They were cautioned and charged with no insurance and the owner was also been charged with causing vehicle to be used without insurance. Vehicle seized.
