Multiple police units and paramedics called to 'ongoing incident' near Bathgate this evening

Multiple police units and paramedics have been called to an incident just outside Bathgate this evening.

Pictures sent to the Evening News show at least three police vans and a police car and at least two ambulances in Philip Avenue, Boghall, just east of the town.

One eye-witness said they saw a police dog unit and heard officers forcing entry through a door in the street.

Pictures also show a number of officers outside a building in the street and one of them appears to be carrying a ram.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “This is an ongoing incident and police are currently in attendance in the Philip Avenue area of Bathgate.”
