Musselburgh man charged after drugs operation

Yesterday, police attended an address on Macbeth Moir Road, where they recovered 55 mature cannabis plants, with an estimated street value of £12,000.
The 29 year-old male was arrested and reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

Sergeant Jonathan Fleetwood, said: “Thanks to vital intelligence gathered from the local community we have prevented a substantial quantity of harmful drugs from reaching our streets.
“Tackling those involved in the sale and production of drugs remains a top priority for police in East Lothian and we’re committed to addressing this issue head-on.
“I would urge anyone who has information about drug dealing in their area to come forward immediately.
