Nicolson Street incident: Man issued with fixed penalty notice for breaching Covid rules during disturbance

A man has been issued with a fixed penalty notice for breaching coronavirus regulations following a disturbance in central Edinburgh.

A police spokeswoman said: “Officers were called to a report of a disturbance on Nicolson Street in Edinburgh at around 7.30pm on Wednesday, 7 April, 2021.

“A 31-year-old man was arrested and, following enquiries, has been issued with a recorded police warning.

“A second man has been issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice for breaching coronavirus regulations.”
