Northfield Broadway: CCTV images released as police investigate Edinburgh assault

CCTV images have been released to help trace two men who the police believe may have information about an assault in Edinburgh.

Two men, aged 44 and 27, have already been arrested in relation to the incident that took place on Northfield Broadway around 9.15 pm on August 27.

A 30-year-old man suffered facial injuries during the assault which required medical treatment.

Police in the Capital are keen to trace the two men in the CCTV images in connection to this enquiry.

The first man is described as being in his early 30s, around 5 ft 8ins tall with short dark hair and prominent eyebrows.

He was dressed in a black suit, a black shirt and dress shoes.

The second man is also described as being in his early 30s, around 6ft 2ins tall and slim build.

He has short, dark hair and facial stubble and was wearing a black jumper, black trousers and dress shows.

Detective Constable Claire Riley of Edinburgh CID said: "We are eager to trace the men pictured as we believe they may be able to assist our enquiries, and would urge anyone who may recognise them to get in touch with us as soon as possible.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting 3509 of 27 August, 2020 or report this anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
