Oxgangs crash: Car 'collides' with house in Oxgangs leaving one woman in hospital

A car ‘collided’ with a house on Monday afternoon in Oxgangs, Edinburgh, resulting in one woman being taken to hospital.

Police were called to the scene just after 3pm on Monday, April 26, after a car had crashed into a house on Oxgangs Road in the Capital.

A 34-year-old woman was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for medical treatment following the incident.

Shortly after the accident took place, Lothian Buses issued a notice that due to the road being closed, bus services 4 and 400 were being diverted via Comiston Road, Greenbank Crescent and Oxgangs Avenue westbound only.

Buses were also unable to access Hunters Tryst meaning that the services 5 and 27 were terminating on Oxgangs Road North.

These diversions ended at around 9pm on Monday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Oxgangs Road, Edinburgh, at around 3.10pm on Monday, 26 April, to a car which had collided with a house.
