Police appeal after Bathgate thieves steal outdoor equipment

Officers in West Lothian are appealing for witnesses following a break-in to an industrial unit in Bathgate.

They said the break-in took place between 2.30pm on Wednesday, June 17, and 7am on Thursday, June 18, at Silva Ltd in Easter Inch Court.

Thieves managed to steal outdoor wear and equipment from the unit, including running head lamps, compasses and map cases.

Detective Constable Tony Gilhooley of Livingston CID said: "I am appealing to anyone who was in the area between these times and who may have seen something suspicious to get in touch.

“Someone may have been offered these goods or know where they are and I would ask them to contact police, also."

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0671 of 18 June, 2020, or report this anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
