Police appeal for man reported missing from Leith Links

Selim has been missing for several hours

Police in Edinburgh are appealing for assistance in tracing 54-year-old Selim El Syed who has been reported missing from the Leith Links area of Edinburgh.

He was last seen about 4:30am on 12th March 2020 in East Hermitage Place, Edinburgh.

His current whereabouts are unknown but he has links to the Pentland Hills, Dunkeld and Perth areas.

Selim is described as being as 5ft5 in height with a slim build and dark hair. He is possibly wearing a green hairband, which is shown in the picture. His current clothing is unknown.

Inspector McCulloch from Leith Police station said: "Selim has been missing for a number of hours now. We have a number of police resources out looking for Selim and I am now looking for the assistance from the public. "
