Police appeal for witnesses after two people were reported to be acting suspiciously in East Lothian

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man and a woman were reportedly trying to break into vehicles and homes in East Lothian.

Police received the report at around 3.15am on Saturday, February, 20, that a male and a female were acting suspiciously in the of Rowanhill Drive and Laburnum Avenue, Port Seton.

The pair were trying the handles to vehicles and doors to residential properties to see if they could gain entry.

They were believed to be acting together, but picked separate streets simultaneously, thereafter meeting up and driving together in a dark coloured Ford Focus.

The male is described as being around 5ft 10in, of slim build, and was wearing a black hoodie with white tassels, a black face covering, black joggers and grey trainers.

He has a distinctive limp on his right leg.

The female is described as being around 5ft 6in, of slim build, with long blonde hair.

She was wearing a dark coloured hoodie with white tassels, dark coloured jogging bottoms and black shoes with a white sole.
