Police cordon in place after jewellery shop window smashed on Edinburgh's Royal Mile

A police cordon is currently in place around a shop on Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile.

A police vehicle and two officers are currently at the scene outside the jewellery shop Palenque on the High Street.

Officers were called at around 8am on Sunday morning and enquiries continue.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police called around 8am this morning, Sunday, 15 November, 2020, to a report that the window of a jewellery shop on High Street, Edinburgh, had been damaged.
