Police reissue CCTV footage two years after Fife woman, 76, was held captive in her own home and robbed

A reward of £5,000 has been offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction

Police Scotland has reissued CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to after a woman, 76, was held in her own home and robbed in Fife two years ago.

The incident happened on Lundin Road in Crossford around 11pm on Friday, 4 May, 2018, when a 76-year-old woman was held in a house and a number of items were stolen from the property.

Crimestoppers has offered a reward of £5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for this robbery.

He is described as being around 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build with short light hair. He may have a foreign accent, which could be Eastern European, and may drive a black coloured Vauxhall Mokka.

The man was last seen at a Tesco fuel garage in Greenock on Monday, 7 May, 2018.

He may have links to Greenock and the Clackmannanshire area and is believed to have been frequenting the West Fife area in the days leading up to the incident.

Detective Sergeant Kieran Marsh, of Dunfermline CID, said: “Despite extensive inquiries by detectives and a national television appeal, we have been unable to identify and locate this man who we would like to speak to as we believe he may have information that could assist our investigation. We are further appealing for the public's help with this. Anyone who recognises him is urged to contact either police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible."
