Officers said the circumstances surrounding the resident’s “sudden death” are not suspicious following enquiries made over the weekend.

In a statement released today detective inspector Jonathan Pleasance said: "Following investigation, the death of a 47-year-man in a flat in North Bughtlin Brae, Edinburgh, on Friday, 29 May, 2020, is not being treated as suspicious.

“As with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. I'd like to thank the local community for their patience and co-operation whilst we carried out enquiries."
