Police warning after 'suspicious people' seen taking pictures of cars in driveways in south west Edinburgh
A neighbourhood alert of four suspicious people targeting homeowners’ cars in a community in the south west of Edinburgh has been sent out by Neighbourhood Watch Scotland.
The alert comes after police received a report of four suspicious people in the Baberton Mains area taking pictures of cars in driveways.
They are described as being in their mid-teens with three of them wearing dark coloured tops and one in a grey hooded top.
PC Sonja Kaiser-Ferris from the prevention, interventions and partnerships department for Edinburgh Police Division said: “If you see anyone acting suspiciously near to your property or vehicle please contact the police immediately with as detailed a description as possible of any person or vehicle involved.
"Please call 999 if an emergency and urgent police assistance is required or 101 to report the matter to the police."
