Prestonpans Assault: Passerby intervenes as young man assaulted in East Lothian town

A passerby intervened to stop an assault of a young man in the East Lothian town of Prestonpans.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which took place on Rope Walk near the Pennypit Centre at around 10.30pm on Friday, October 9.

The victim was walking alone when he was approach by a man he knew.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

He was then assaulted, receiving minor injuries.

Police are asking the passer by who witnessed the assault to contact 101 quoting incident number 4189 of October 9.
