Properties hit in West Lothian housebreaking spree

Three properties were targeted in a housebreaking spree in West Lothian.

Police said the incidents all took place between the morning of Thursday, March 9, and 9.30 pm that evening at addresses in Sheriff Park and Preston Park, Linlithgow, and Meadowpark, Bathgate.

The occupants are establishing what has been taken. Inquiries are ongoing to determine if the break-ins are linked and to identify those responsible.

Detective Constable Greig Muir said: “All of the homeowners are deeply upset at these housebreakings and we are pursuing various lines of inquiry to trace the culprits. Anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity around the addresses in Linlithgow and Bathgate should contact police immediately.” Those with information are asked to call 101.
