£1,620 worth of drugs and an offensive weapon seized during two separate Edinburgh incidents

Three men were arrested on Wednesday, February, 17, in Edinburgh in two unrelated incidents when police discovered them to be in possession of £1,620 worth of drugs.

The first incident took place on Leith Street when a 27-year-old man was found to be in possession of crack cocaine valued at £220.

He was arrested and charged with drug related offences and is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.

In an unrelated incident, a vehicle was stopped on Ferry Road and £1,400 worth of crack cocaine and cannabis was recovered.

A 22-year-old man was arrested and a 21-year-old man made off on foot and was arrested slightly later in the evening.

The 22-year-old man was charged with drug related offences and possession of an offensive weapon.

The 21-year-old man was charged with drug related offences, numerous road traffic offences, an obstruction offence and possession of an offensive weapon.

This individual was also found to be wanted for an unrelated outstanding matter which he was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday, February, 18, for.

Both men will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in relation to the incident that occurred on Wednesday.
