Strong winds may have shattered glass in Princes Street Vodafone shopfront

A glass shop front in Princes Street is thought to have been shattered by today's strong winds.
Police were called to the Vodafone shop, on the corner of Princes Street and St Andrew Street, at about 9:30am.

Hide AdA police spokeswoman said the cause of the broken glass is unclear but today's bad weather could not be ruled out.
Officers have been present to stop members of the public slipping while walking over the wet pavement, which was covered in glass shard
Police have been awaiting the arrival of council officers to help clear up the mess.
The spokeswoman confirmed there were no reports of injuries.
