Thug carried out broad daylight assault in East Lothian street

A Haddington thug assaulted a man by striking and head-butting him to the head during an incident at Hardgate last year.

Dino Husic also attacked Mark Ingle scratching and biting him and after meeting him in the street.

Husic breached a bail order by approaching Mr Ingle after previously been ordered to stay away from the man during a previous court hearing.

But Husic failed to adhere to the order when he spotted his victim walking along Hardgate on June 19 last year.

Following the assault Husic then vandalised a vehicle while driver Kieran Cooper was stopped at traffic lights at the town’s Whittingehame Drive.

Husic approached the vehicle and struck the driver’s side window and acted aggressively towards the motorist.

The 29-year-old pleaded guilty to three offences when he appeared via a video link at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in January.

Sheriff Kenneth Campbell handed out a community payback order as a direct alternative to custody.
