Tram window smashed and Lothian buses in Edinburgh forced to cancel routes due to anti social behaviour

A tram has been taken out of service after a window was smashed and Lothian has announced that it is diverting a bus route due to more anti social behaviour.

Buses that service West Granton Road, Muirhouse Parkway, Pennywell Gardens and Pennywell Road will now be diverted from the area.

This includes the 14, 24, 200, 27 and 37.

They will now be diverted via Ferry Road, Silverknowes Road East, and Silverknowes Road in both directions till further notice.

Also, Edinburgh Trams will be removing one of their trams, tweeting: “One tram is being taken out of service due to a smashed window at Saughton tram stop.”

Police are investigating this incident after receiving reports at around 7.15pm on Wednesday.
