Two Edinburgh drivers arrested after testing positive for cocaine while behind the wheel

Two drivers have been arrested and charged for driving while under the influence of cocaine.

The vehicle owners were stopped by police in the Capital on October 30 when they were tested for the drug.

Officers found the drivers in question tested positive for cocaine using an instant-readout disposable drug detection product.

Both were arrested and blood specimens have been taken for further analysis.

A police spokeswoman added: “They now face the prospect of being disqualified from driving if found to be over the prescribed limit.”
