Urgent appeal to trace missing Edinburgh man, 54, last seen near Leith Links in early hours

Police are appealing to the public for help to trace a missing man in Edinburgh.

Selim El Syed, 54, was last seen at about 4:30am on Thursday, March 12th in East Hermitage Place by Leith Links.

Police said he has links to the Pentland Hills, Dunkeld and Perth areas.

Selim is described as being 5ft 5ins in height, of slim build with dark hair, possibly wearing a green hairband (pictured). His current clothing is unknown.

Inspector McCulloch from Leith Police station said: “Selim has been missing for a number of hours now. We have a number of police resources out looking for Selim and I am now looking for the assistance from the public. "
