Warning to Edinburgh drivers over £100 fine at temporary traffic lights
Road Policing Scotland have warned drivers who ignore temporary traffic lights.
The warning follows numerous reports to the police about vehicles ignoring temporary traffic lights on Baltic Street in Edinburgh.
In a tweet, the police stated that temporary traffic lights are enforced by police in exactly the same way as permanent ones are.
Drivers who do not comply with the lights could face a £100 fine and risk receiving three points added to their license.
As of today there are new temporary traffic lights at Duddingston Gardens North, Leith Walk at Anderson Place, Colinton/Fairmilehead between Oxgangs Road and Swanston Park, Inverleith at Craigleith Hill Loan and Corstorphine/Murrayfield at Carrick Knowe Parkway.
