A man has been given a warning after police found cannabis while searching his car.

The 25-year-old was stopped in Queen’s Drive, Holyrood Park at about 7.10pm yesterday.

Several officers emptied his car before finding a small quantity of the drug.

He was issued with an official police warning while another 25-year-old man involved in the incident was reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with alleged drug offences.

A police spokeswoman said: “Around 7.10pm on Thursday 30 April 2020, officers stopped and searched a vehicle in Queens Drive, Edinburgh and recovered a small quantity of cannabis.

“One man, aged 25 received Recorded Police Warning and another man, also 25, is subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with alleged drugs offences.
