West Lothian man charged with more than 20 offences in connection to vehicle crimes

A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a number of vehicle crimes in the Livingston and Mid Calder area West Lothian Police announced.

Enquiries have been ongoing into thefts from motor vehicles between June 23 and July 6 2020 as well as other related crimes as part of Operation Rampion, a dedicated operation targetting acquisitive crime.

The male has been charged with over 20 offences and appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday.

PC Adam Gow from the Proactive Crime Team based at West Calder Police Station said "I would urge anyone who has any concerns about vehicle crime or suspicious activity in West Lothian to call 101 as soon as possible to allow us to investigate, and to remain vigilant in keeping their vehicles secured when unattended.”
