West Lothian petrol station taped off after overnight break-in

Police are appealing to the public for information after a service station in West Lothian was broken into earlier this morning.

The Jet Petrol Station in Bathgate Road, Armadale, has been taped off today as officers carry out their inquiries after receiving a call at about 4:35am on Wednesday.

It is understood police are still looking at CCTV before any description of those responsible can be released as part of an appeal.

The break-in is thought to have taken place overnight when no staff member was present.

Details on any stolen items are not yet available.

A police spokeswoman said: "Police were called around 4:35am this morning to a report of a break-in at a service station in Bathgate Road.

"Inquiries are ongoing regarding this incident and anyone with information is asked to contact through 101, quoting reference number 0372 of February 12th."
