West Lothian police hunt for suspects after van torched in Blackridge

Police in West Lothian have appealed to the public for information after a van was deliberately set alight in Blackridge on Friday night.

Officers said the vehicle was likely torched at around 12:10am - where it was parked outside a property on Woodhill Road in the small town.

Detective Constable Laura Hanlon, of Livingston CID, did not reveal whether the force is actively pursuing suspects, but asked any witnesses to come forward.

She said: “I am asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch.

“In addition, anyone who was driving in the Woodhill Road area around the time of the incident and may have dash-cam footage that would help with our investigation is asked to call us.”
