A disturbance in a city centre petrol station on Sunday night has resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old man.

Police in Edinburgh were called to the Tesco Express on Willowbrae Road at the Esso petrol station after a report of a disturbance was made.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “"Around 9.30pm on Sunday, 16 August, officers were called to the Willowbrae Road area of Edinburgh, following a report of a disturbance.

“A 25-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date."
