Currency firm backs NSPCC

The currency exchange firm Cheque Centre has handed over a cheque for £10,000 to their adopted charity, the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC).

The Edinburgh-based chain signed up to give the NSPCC £75,000 over three years. So far they have raised £35,000 and, by the end of this year, that figure will hit the £50,000 mark.

NSPCC communications manager Harriet Hall said: “This donation will enable us to recruit and train 22 volunteer ChildLine counsellors, who in their first year will be able to help up to 200 children through their worries and distress.”
