Dad jailed for having sex with girl, 14

A FATHER who took his children along to meet an underage teenager he met on a social networking site, before having sex with the girl, has been jailed for ten months.

Andrew Apolojohanaangels became a “friend” of the girl when she was 13 via the Bebo social networking website, the High Court in Edinburgh heard yesterday.

Apolojohanaangels, 33, met the youngster at a railway station in the company of his two young children, then aged five and seven months, after she turned 14 and took her to his home in Livingston, where he had unprotected sex with her.

His sex offending was uncovered after the girl, who was worried she was pregnant, contacted a cousin by computer seeking advice. Her aunt then phoned the victim’s mother and police were contacted.

First offender Apolojohanaangles, of Rosehill Place, Livingston, was originally charged with raping the teenager in April last year, but the Crown accepted his guilty plea to twice having unlawful sexual intercourse.

Prosecutor Tim Niven-Smith said that the girl’s profile on Bebo stated she was a 16-year-old.
