Danny died ‘doing what he loved most’

A CYCLIST from Edinburgh who was killed in an accident over the weekend “died doing what he loved the most”, according to friends.

Danny Pace, 31, suffered serious head injuries when he fell off his bike in Perthshire. The former George Watson’s pupil, who was based in Glasgow, was descending Glen Quaich, one of the steepest hill climbs in Scotland, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Friends told the Evening News that he loved the outdoors, and was more than half way through climbing Scotland’s 283 Munros. He was also a keen Hibs and Scotland fan, and a former student of Glasgow University.

A friend, who did not wish to be named, said: “He wasn’t in anyway a dare-devil but he really loved the outdoors.”
